
*William (Wil) Allen Moore Kunkel, a Brilliant and Loving Individual, Passes Away*
William Allen Moore Kunkel, a devoted family man, rocket scientist, and amazing human being, passed away on Thursday, April 24th, 2025. Born on August 18th, 1973, he left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone he touched.
William, known as Wil to many, showcased his intellectual prowess, as a rocket scientist, a human computer, and a teacher to many. His passion for knowledge inspired countless individuals.
To his family, Wil was more than just a sibling or uncle – he was a rock, a hero, a confidant, and a father figure.
He is survived by his elder sister, Elizabeth Bradshaw; his younger brother, Sean O’Brien; his nieces, Kimberly and Imogen; his nephews, Joe Jr. and Roland; and his uncle, Jon Moore, and aunt, Mikey. His family will deeply miss his guidance, love, and presence.
Wil was an extraordinary individual, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. His family celebrates his life, his accomplishments, and the love he shared with everyone around him.
A celebration of Wil’s life will be held at Lake Morena State Park – Campsite 46 & 47 (2550 Lake Morena Dr, Campo, CA 91906) on June 7, 2025, at dusk. Friends and family are invited to join for a bonfire, sharing stories, and remembering Wil’s impact on their lives.
