William Otis Miller “Bill” stepped through the gates of heaven and into the arms of his Savior on Sunday, March 15th at Deaconess Hospital.
Bill was born on October 18, 1936 to Edna and William Miller, one of four children and the only son. He graduated from Bosse High School in Evansville, IN. After he graduated, Bill proudly served his country in the Navy from 1955-1962. He had many adventures as a radioman aboard the USS Nimble. Soon after he returned Stateside, Bill met the love of his life, Sharon. They married on March 15, 1958. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised a family deeply rooted in Christ. He leaves behind five children, Rhonda (Darrell), Karen (Scott), Lori (Tommy), Billy (Angie), and Tricia (Bryce), fifteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He will be greatly missed by all that loved him.
All Bill ever did was for his wife, Sharon, and he has mourned her passing for many years. He was finally able to embrace her once again on what would have been their 68th anniversary. While our family deeply grieves for our Dad and Grandpa, we find great comfort in knowing that they are together now, and we have faith that we will see him again one day.
Per his request, there will not be a memorial service. If you wish to make a donation in his memory, we suggest supporting 1 on 1 Church or your local animal shelter.
