
Toby Elliott, 75, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away in his home Friday, August 29, 2025.
Toby was born in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Marion and Betty (Kelley) Elliott. He graduated from Owensboro High School in 1967. He lived half of his life in Owensboro. He drove a delivery truck for Purnell’s Sausage Company for many years. He moved his family to Evansville, Indiana in 1987. He acquired a job at American Electric Power in Rockport, Indiana, and worked as an operator until his retirement in 2012. After retirement, he worked for his son’s construction company, David Elliott Homes.
Toby was a devoted man in Christ and attended The Hills Church in Evansville, Indiana. Toby loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed going to the Frog Follies when they came to town. He also loved watching NASCAR races and NHRA drag racing. He would read the Sunday funnies, and his favorites were Peanuts, Family Circus, Garfield, B.C., Beetle Bailey and Baby Blues.
Toby is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Kelly (Jerry) Rexing; sons, David (Julie) Elliott, and Calvin (LaDawn) Elliott; 6 grandchildren, Makayla Elliott, Emily Rexing, Madalyn Elliott, Travis Rexing, Josiah Stone, Tyler Rexing; sister, Stacy (Jerry) Warren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bruce Wayne.
A celebration of life will be on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Richmond Park Community Center, 5200 Virginia Ave, Evansville, IN 47715.
