Shawn Eugene Epley, age 47, passed away on Monday, February 10th, 2025 from his battle with cancer. He was born in Evansville, IN on August 28th, 1977.
Shawn loved to hunt, fish, garden, and root for Jimmie Johnson. He also loved spending time with his dog Grizzly.
Prior to Shawn’s death, he requested that this space be used to share some of his favorite memories with his friends and family. Shawn’s favorite memory with his oldest daughter, Ayrlia, was spending the day with her in his tree stand. They didn’t see any deer because Ayrlia wouldn’t stop talking, but he didn’t mind. His favorite memory with his oldest son, Nick, was watching him grow into a young man and cheering him on at his baseball games. His favorite memory with his youngest daughter, Kaitlyn, was taking her out on his boat and seeing the joy on her face.
Shawn would also like to use this space to tease his siblings (Christy, Jeff, Charles) one last time by reminding them that he was mom’s (Nancy and Ronald Burnett) favorite.
Shawn also enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend, Aimee, and his friends and family both old and new. Shawn is looking forward to seeing his best friend, Jeff Holder, again so they can go fishing.
In the words of Shawn, “just roll me one more.”
