Sharon Gilbert, 87, of Evansville, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Linda E. White Hospice House after a brief illness. She was born on September 11, 1938, in Evansville, Indiana to Wilbur A. Harger and Marian Harger.
Sharon grew up in Newburgh and graduated from Boonville High School, served in the United States Army in the Clerical Corp and pursued a career in the secretarial profession. She enjoyed music, movies, reading, sewing, crafting, and trying out new recipes from her large collection of cookbooks. And spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Nina Booker, granddaughter, Camilla Booker, great-grandchildren Holli Hitch, Gavin Hitch, Hannah Warmoth, Willa James, sisters, Patricia (Marvin) LeRoy, Lana Rogers, Gertrude Harger, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters, Lauralee Doerner, Carilou Sharp, brothers, Daniel Harger, Jeffrey Harger.
No formal or public services are planned. In lieu of gifts please offer your prayers and thoughts condolence for her and her family.
