Robert S. Fitzgerald, 68 years old went home to be with our Heavenly Father on October 26, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Evansville to his late parents, Robert and Mary Fitzgerald.
His favorite past times were spending time with family, fishing, and he was always ready to help others.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kathryn, son Brian (Jennie), grandchildren Abbie and Will Fitzgerald, sister-in-law Sylvia York, sister Terry Wethington, and brother Thomas Fitzgerald.
Visitation services will be held November 6th from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm with services immediately after at Northwoods Church on Green River Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s or Riley’s Children Hospital
Simple Cremation Evansville is entrusted with care.

I just recently learned of Steve’s death, and I am so sorry to hear of this very sad news for Kathy and his family.
There was only one Steve Fitzgerald in this world. He was a kind and special person. I know this first hand because he was my very first boyfriend in high school for almost two years.
A light went out here on earth, but heaven is much brighter today.
Kathy, I am so, so sorry for your loss. Sending love your way for healing, even though it has been three years.
