Robert Jones, Age 79 of Evansville, IN passed away on February 3rd, 2025, at his home from cancer. He was the son of Harry Jones and Mary Eagan. He graduated from Central High School in 1963.
Bob was a man of many talents. He loved to build, draw and played in the Philharmonics in high school. He could make anyone laugh at his crazy stories. Some of his favorite times were coaching his girls’ softball teams, going on vacations, riding motorcycles and going to the horse races. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He owned a bar for 17 years and had many stories to tell. He was always the life of the party. He will truly be missed.
Bob found God in the latter part of his life, and he is surely smiling down on us. Rest in peace. We love you!
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, son (Robert Jones), sisters (Connie Burton and Carolyn Crowley). Bob is survived by his wife of 20 years, Robin Jones; Daughters: Jill Meyer, Jennifer Carlisle (Angie), Cheri Johnson (Randy). Son, Damien Hobbs (Tammy). 6 grandsons: Jordan, Dillon, Grayden, Nolan, Andrew, Hunter. 4 granddaughters: Lilly, Andriana, Katie, Kirsten. 4 great grandchildren: Penelope, Nora, River, Ella. Brother in laws: Danny, Rick, Allen, Michael, Phillip, Chad. Sister in laws: Diana, Nicki, Judy, Pam, Kelly, Ladonna. Mother of his children & friend: Cheryl Jones. And many nieces and nephews that he loved.
There will be a celebration of life party on February 23rd at 700 Senate Ave, 47711 between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. for those who would like to celebrate and share good memories of Bob.
