
Robert A. Ballard, 74, of Evansville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on September 15, 1951 in Donaldsonville, Louisiana to the late Arden Newnam Ballard and Ruth Ada (McCarroll) Ballard.
Robert loved fly fishing, golfing and playing bridge. He was a lifelong entertainer, enjoying singing and playing the piano around the world and on cruise ships.
He graduated from East Jefferson High School in Metairie, Louisiana in 1969 and attended 2 years at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He then worked as a police officer and also belonged to the Masonic Lodge in New Orleans, Louisiana as well as the Masonic Lodge and Hadi Shrine in Evansville, Indiana.
He was an active member for many years at Turning Point Methodist Church playing in their praise band.
Robert is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kayla (Urbanek) Ballard; his son, Lance Naquin; his grandson, Micah Naquin; his sister, Barbara Ballard; his sisters in law, Buck Ballard, Kristi West and Kim Fink as well as many nieces and nephews that he adored.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Henry Ballard.
A celebration of life may be held at a later date.
