LaRita “Rita” Kay (Davis) Ledesma, 69, passed away surrounded by family at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, Indiana on November 16, 2024. She was born on September 7, 1955 in Madisonville, Kentucky, to Paula (Humble) Jackson and Morris “Buddy” Davis.
Rita’s greatest love was her children and grandchildren. She always made sure they were taken care of even if it meant she did without. Rita enjoyed gardening, and baking. She also enjoyed passing her time playing solitaire, sudoku, and completing crosswords. Her all time favorite artists were Bob Seger and Rob Stewart. She had a wide collection of Porcelain Dolls and enjoyed collectors stamps.
Rita is preceded in death by her fiancé, Cliff “Pop Cliff” Meyer of Evansville; grandmother, Mary Ernestine Rowell of Dawson Springs; father, Morris “Buddy” Davis of Dawson Springs; stepfather E.J. Jackson of Princeton; sister Tammy (Davis) Boles of Evansville. She is survived by her mother, Paula (Humble) Jackson of Dawson Springs; four brothers, Morris “Anthony” Davis of Dawson Springs, Eddie Davis of Dawson Springs, Christopher Jackson of Fort Myers, and Paul Jackson of New Concord; four sisters, Trina (Felker) Messamore of Providence, Evonne (Davis) Eaves of Dawson Springs, Ginger (Davis) of Dawson Springs, and Wanda (Davis) Egbert of Dawson Springs; three children, Mandy Jackson of Madisonville, Robert Menser of Evansville, and Shawndra Menser of Madisonville; five grandchildren, Shayna Jackson of Madisonville, Jamie Menser of Evansville, Mikayla Jackson of Madisonville, Shaley Menser of Madisonville, Mason Menser of Madisonville; and one great grandson, Kayson Jackson of Madisonville.
