Richard Craig Ogilvy, 67 of Evansville Indiana passed away at his residence on April 5, 2019. He was born on November 11, 1951 in Chicago Heights, IL to the late Winston and Doris Ogilvy. He is survived by his two sisters, Kathryn “Kate” Ogilvy Lynch and Ann Ogilvy Skaugset; nephews Chris Lynch, Kellen Skaugset; niece, Miranda Skaugset and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Zion UCC 415 NW 5th Street, Evansville IN The church is two blocks NW of the YMCA near the Lloyd Expressway. Free parking is available in the lot at 518 Ingle Street. Due to construction, access is only from the west, from NW 4th street which is one-way north. It will include all the spiritual practices that brought Richard great joy including Qi Gong, drumming, sufi and folk dancing. Bring your dancing shoes, drums, rattles and dish for the pot-luck dinner. A special musical bluegrass performance by Sassafrass along with stories of Richard will be told with love honoring him. There will be a donation plate passed around to give Zion UCC a gift. They said whatever money is collected they will use to start a Richard Ogilvy Memorial Fund for their church.
