
Randy (Watty) Hankins, 58, originally of Baraboo, Wisconsin, and most recently of Poseyville, Indiana passed away on the evening of December 24, 2025 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital with family by his side.
Randy was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend who valued family, hard work, and community. For most of his life, Randy worked as a bartender in the Baraboo, Wisconsin area, where he was well-known and loved by many. He was known for his apple pie drinks and his annual birthday bash that brought many in the community together. Randy lived most of his life in Baraboo before later moving to Southern Indiana where he enjoyed a quieter life surrounded by family. In his later years, he especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren, Eila, Lee, and Samuel Hankins.
Randy is survived by his daughter, Amber Hankins; his son, Gregory Hankins (wife Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Eila, Lee, and Samuel Hankins; and his brother, John Simpson (wife Magie). He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean (VanOsdol) Hankins; his mother, Jeanne (Lynd) Hankins; and his father, James Hankins.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026 at The Legion in North Freedom, Wisconsin, with additional details to be shared with family and friends. Randy will be remembered for his kindness, easygoing nature, and the many lives he touched throughout the years.
