Perrietta Elizabeth Waters

Perrietta Elizabeth Waters, 46, of Evansville, Indiana passed away September 11, 2026, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. She was born July 9,1979.

Perrietta made a huge impact on everyone who got the chance to meet and experience her in life. She loved her three children and especially her grandchildren. She has always been a fighter and lover, always knew how to take a bad day and make it good. She loved cooking, drawing and listening to music. She loved her grandchild more than anything. My mother was Garnetta’s grandma, daddy, mommy; she was her everything. The ones closest to her called her Bubba. She fought a hard battle and was called to meet Jesus in the end. Perrietta’s favorite colors were pink and purple, and she loved animals just as much as she loved life. She was always the light in the darkest moments. There’s no amount of words that can describe the amazing women she is and was. Perrietta had gotten closer to Jesus in the months before her passing and that’s one thing she has instilled in her children and grandchildren.

Perrietta is preceded in death by her parents, William Perry Waters and Garnetta Helen Waters.

She is survived by her three children Mark Holly, Macenzie Holly, and Makia Perez (Waters); grandchildren, Garnetta R. Martinez and Josiah A. L. Holly; and sisters, Stacy Waters, Dorothy Barbe, and Dixie Waters.

She will forever be loved and missed by many; she’s gone but never forgotten. She’s a light that won’t stop shining.
