Paul Dearth Crimm, Jr, 85, of Evansville, IN, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 29, 1933 to parents Dr Paul D Crimm, Sr and Edith M. (Pearson) Crimm. Paul attended F. J. Reitz Memorial High School, transferring to Lake Forest Academy where he earned his highschool diploma. Upon graduation, he attended Purdue University and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He graduated in 1953.
Paul married Patricia Gilbert on June 12, 1965. Forever interested in automobiles, he established Sports Car Sales and Service as the only British Leyland dealer in southern Indiana. During his retirement, he restored sports cars by while also working for EVSC as a bus driver. His retirement also found him leading historical bus tours on the New Harmony State Park grounds.
Paul was a member of the Evansville Kennel Club, a Master Mason (Reed Lodge No. 316), Sports Car Club of America (1961 began his membership) and a faithful member of the Rotary Club of Evansville where he served as President in 1977-1978.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Trish, his brother-in-law, William “Bill” Milligan.
Paul is survived by his daughter Cristi Crimm Fenton (Bill) of Greenwood, IN, son Carter Paul Crimm (Jill) of Fishers, IN, grandchildren Jena and Jackson Fenton and Connor and Lauren Crimm. Also surviving are his sister Sue Milligan of Columbus,OH, brother-in-law George A Gilbert, sister-in-law Sara Gilbert Viehe, and many nieces, nephews, cousins. Last but not least is his beloved feline companion “Happy Cat.”
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 1p-4p CST at the Evansville Kennel Club (5201 Kratzville Rd, Evansville, IN 47710). Gifts in Paul’s memory may be made to the Rotary Club of Evansville (402 Court St, Evansville, IN 47708) or the charity of your choice.
