Patricia, fondly known as Pat, 76, passed in her home surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer and was welcomed to her heavenly home.
Pat was born at home in 1949 in Evansville, Indiana to Martha Lucille Mason Seiler Brown (1923-1993) and Jacob John Seiler Jr (1919-2003).
Pats greatest love in life was her family beginning with the great love she shared with her husband of 47 years, Darrel Lee (6/25/76). In the early years they spent their time raising and cheering on their 4 boys at many sporting events. She spent her career at Meadow Lanes working with her brother Michael while raising her boys and enjoyed bowling with friends.
As the years went on she welcomed 30 grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored. She spent her life with a listening ear, a nonjudgmental heart and a way of making everyone she spoke to feel so loved. She spent her golden years enjoying bingo, was a fantastic card player and shopping second hand and garage sales with the older crew of the family and equally with her grandchildren. She rarely missed an opportunity for family to gather. She referred to the treasures she collected and all of the plants she cared for in her home as her pretty pretty’s. They gave her comfort and joy over the years. In late 2024 she was also an appointed founding member of the Silly Goose Club which she took very seriously.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrel (2024); her beloved son, Jacob (1995), and we take comfort in imagining their reunion; her brother, John and wife Sybil; and her parents. Step siblings Bonnie Allen and Donna Brown.
She is survived by her three sons: Kirk (Janie) Swedenburg of Evansville, Eric (Andrea) Swedenburg of Evansville, and Adam Swedenburg of Wesley Chapel, Florida.
Her brothers, Ben (Cindy) Seiler, Michael (Kim) Seiler. Sister (in-law) Karen Seiler. Nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Step brother Dan Brown.
She was a devoted historian of our family and will be sorely missed by those who had the honor to call her Mom, Grandma, Oma, sister, aunt and friend.
