Nancy Neal (Coffee), 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, with her devoted, caring husband by her side. A compassionate and dedicated nurse, Nancy spent many years caring for others at North Park Nursing Home in Evansville. She found deep purpose in her work, especially in the Alzheimer’s unit, where her kindness and patience touched countless lives.
Beyond her career, Nancy’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her husband at their granddaughters’ activities, cheering them on with pride and love. Time at the lake and cherished family trips to Orange Beach, Alabama, brought her immense happiness, as did the simple joys of togetherness at a family meal at one of her favorite restaurants. Above all, her daughter Brandy was the light of her life, and she carried that love in every step she took and conversation she held.
Nancy’s unwavering love will be forever remembered by those who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Jesse Neal; her beloved daughter, Brandy (Eric) Goggins; and her adored granddaughters, Lila and Amelia Goggins. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sharon (Glenn) Shipman-Neal.
She is now reunited in peace with her father, Melvin Coffee, and her in-laws, Ed and Doris Neal.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in knowing that Nancy’s kindness, love, and laughter will live on in the memories of those she touched. Her family will carry on her legacy through the many funny moments and stories that they will forever hold dear to their hearts.
As per Nancy’s wishes, her life will be celebrated in a private ceremony with her family.
