It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of “Mick” Micky Robert Weiner, age 49. After 4 ½ months in the hospital he went home to Francisco on hospice care. He lost his battle with Crohn’s on January 18, 2025 with his wife Servella by his side.
Mick was born on July 29, 1975. He spent most of his life in his home town of Francisco, IN. He attended Francisco Elementary School and Wood Memorial High School.
Mick loved working on cars and trucks with his dad since he could hold a wrench in his hand. When he was 5 years old, he helped his dad and friends build a 4×4 Mustang. Mick learned automotive mechanics, welding, driving and operating a wrecker. He worked for his dad at Bob’s Garage & Wrecker Service as a automotive mechanic and wrecker driver. He also was a wrecker driver for Turpins 64 Garage and Beadles Towing. He also did welding and other jobs for Jason Thorbeck. Mick held other jobs but these 4 jobs were the ones he liked the best.
Mick belonged to the Francisco Volunteer Fire Dept. for 20 years and served as Fire Chief. He loved helping people and keeping the fire trucks in good condition.
Mick loved spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger and would talk to everyone, especially about Mustangs.
Mick married his wife Servella on June 24, 1995. They renewed their vows in Gatlinburg, TN on their 20th Anniversary, with (cousin) Tyler Miskell officiating. They were planning on renewing their vows again this year on their 30th Anniversary. Knowing how sick Mick was, Servella surprised him at his benefit. In her original wedding gown, with his brother Jay and sister-in-law Tosha standing up with them, niece Kelli as ring bearer and friend Mike McGregor officiating as they were married for the 3rd time. Mick was very moved and grateful with her surprise!
Mick will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
