Melinda Gayle Dills, 59, of Oakland City, Indiana lost her battle with cancer on October 31st, 2025, at Heart to Heart Hospice in Evansville Indiana.
Born to the late Merle and Wilma (Beste) Duckworth on April 21st, 1966, in Evansville Indiana. Melinda graduated from Mount Vernon High School, Mount Vernon Indiana in 1984. She was a very talented artist and spent most of her professional life as a property manager at various properties from Arizona to Tennessee. Melinda enjoyed kayaking adventures on area lakes and rivers with her friends.
She is survived by her son Marshall Dills and grandson Tobias Dills, brother Mark (Jeanie) Duckworth, sister Susan (Dennis) Herrmann, numerous nieces, nephews and families. Services will be held November 12, 2025, at Bethel Memorial Church, 1520 South Main Street, Princeton, Indiana. Visitation will be from 9am to 11am with services to follow.
