Larry Sr passed away on 10/7/2025 at his home in Evansville, IN. He was born December 26, 1948, in Evansville, IN, to Freedman and Mary (Rawlins) Talley.
Larry attended Central High School and went on to marry Donna Marie Brown in 1966. They had four children. Larry is preceded in death by his ex-wife Donna (Brown) Waite, his brother John Wayne Talley and his parents Freedman and Mary Talley.
Larry is survived by his four boys, Larry Thomas Talley Jr, & wife Teresa, Nick Dewayne Talley & wife Alyssa, Christopher Ray Talley and Kavan Wayne Talley.
Grandchildren: Treasure, Jeffrey, Candice, Kayla, Christopher, Kyle, Cooper, Amber, Jazmine, Larry Joe, Bailey, & Kameron.
Great Grandchildren: Grayson, Leo, Lane, Gunnar, Decklyn, & Briar.
Larry worked most of his years as an automotive mechanic at General Tire Treaders in Evansville, IN. and later moved to Florida for about 20 yrs where he worked in construction and his all-time favorite job digging clams and helping run operations for a local seafood distributer. Larry returned to his hometown in Evansville for retirement. His hobbies and interests included, fishing, gardening, riding his motorcycle, camping, hot rods, watching barges go up and down the river, going to Angel Mounds to watch birds, deer and wildlife. He especially liked setting out his hummingbird feeders every year and reading the daily newspaper. Larry looked forward to receiving his birthday/Christmas gift every year from his sons of a fruit cake and a good ole meat and cheese tray.
Larry made clear his wishes of a simple cremation and to have his beloved dog Bellas’ ashes spread with his into his favorite place, The Indian Bay River in Florida. At this time the family will be carrying out his wishes on this and will make further arrangements at a later time.
