Kathy Hewitt of Evansville, Indiana passed away June 29, 2026, at Heart to Heart Hospice House in Evansville, IN. She was born on June 13, 1961, to Owen and Joan Hewitt in Gary, Indiana.
Kathy was an in-home caregiver, but family time was very special to her, and she especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. It didn’t matter what they did, whether it was making snow angels or building snowman in the tub with snow. She also enjoyed sitting on the porch and fishing. Kathy was loved by everyone that met her.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Joan Hewitt, and her sister Jane Wemmer.
She is survived by her only daughter Kristie Rose (Derek); grandchildren Jordan, Katie and Kylie; unbiological daughter Catrina Decorrevant (Rocky); and adopted grandchildren Zai, Josiah and Gracie. She will be tremendously missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
