Robards, KY – Karin Gay Curtis, 63, of Robards, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at her home. She was born on March 26, 1957 in New Haven, Connecticut to Janet Leonard and the late Robert Banks Leonard.
Karin Curtis was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend to many. Any interest she explored was done enthusiastically: crafting, crocheting, music, scrapbooking, puzzles, baking, and the pursuit of what life had to offer. Her curiosity was infectious, and she emboldened those close to her to pursue their interests just as passionately. This was personified by the bounty of love on display when spending time with her grandchildren.
Karin is survived by her mother, Janet Leonard, her two sons, Ryan Curtis and wife Dana Curtis, Tim Curtis and wife Abir Sarker; her two grandchildren, Lily Curtis and Violet Curtis; Her sister, Valerie Dooley, and her five brothers, Rob Leonard, Jon Leonard, Mark Leonard, Dan Leonard, and Dave Leonard.
Karin is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Jay Michael Curtis and her father, Robert Banks Leonard.
She will forever be remembered as the kind, tender-hearted woman who lived a selfless life.
