Karen Sue Dilbeck, 64, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.
Karen was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 22,1960 to the late Robert and Betty (Stutsman) Kolb. She was a former employee at Deaconess daycare center. Karen loved scrapbooking, painting, and spending time with family and friends. She always enjoyed baking cookies and treats, especially around the holidays. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Karen will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
Karen is survived by her fiancé of 17 years, Jeff Leeuwenburg of Wilmington, NC; children, Chelsea (Mckeethen) Penney; brothers, Bobby and Dennis Kolb; grandchildren, Shane Ballard; many nieces and nephews; cousins; and many lifelong friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents.
A gathering for friends and family to celebrate Karen’s life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Twin Towers, 3501 Mesker Park Dr., Evansville, IN 47720.
Memorial contributions and flowers may be brought to Twin Towers the day of the celebration of life.
