
Julie L. Duke-Hubert, 48, of Evansville Indiana, passed away peacefully at 1:17pm February 24, 2026 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born March 6, 1977 in Cannelton, Indiana.
She graduated from Cannelton High School, and received degrees from Vincennes University and the University of Southern Indiana, majoring in both Psychology and Business. She established a career as remote Support Loans Analyst Senior at PNC Bank.
She loved spending her days with her husband, Wayne Bourassa, and her two children Valeska Hubert and Drake Hubert. Her hobbies included watching movies with family, ghost hunting, playing darts and pool at the bar, collecting shoes, and going out to eat at local restaurants. She loved holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. She loved the color purple and was often recognized for her dyed hair and coordinated outfits.
Julie was an advocate for social issues, caring about folks from all walks of life. She was a woman of integrity, honesty, intellect, and kindness. Her open-minded spirit was one that touched the hearts of many.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
She is survived by her parents Dale Duke and Sharon Duke, siblings Kelly (Duke) Nardi, Shawna (Duke) Carter, and Quinn Duke, husband Wayne Bourassa, children Valeska Hubert and Drake Hubert, nephews Clay Davis, Carson Davis, Colton Davis, Dominick Smith and niece Bethany Carter.
At Julie’s request, no public service will be held. A celebration of life will be held privately at a later date.
Julie valued living a life of joy and laughter. Her children are instilled with the lessons of being compassionate to others and true to themselves. She will be dearly missed by family and friends alike
