Jeanette Ann Miller, 75, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 10:33AM, at Heart to Heart Hospice House in Evansville. She has gone to her Heavenly home to be with Jesus.
Jeanette was born to the late Charles and Jeanette (Beahan) Specht, in Shreveport, LA on September 13, 1950. She was a 1968 graduate of Bosse High School and then worked various roles at Old National Bank. She married her high school sweetheart Stephen on December 3, 1971. She decided to stay home to raise their children and grandchildren and treasured her time with both. Jeanette was a faithful Christian, growing up and raising her children in the church where her mother was a charter member. She loved children and tithed her time through Sunday School, Hi-God, and Vacation Bible School. Her service for children extended to the public school as well, where she tutored and volunteered in the PTA. Children truly took to her and her kind aura.
Jeanette had an incredible wit, even to the end. She loved being poolside, near the ocean, and in the sun. In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing, boating, and water skiing. Jeanette was an avid reader and finished as many as twenty books a month. Her card ministry reminded friends and family that her thoughts, love, and prayers were with them during both life’s special and everyday moments. She was always known as a strong woman, though her family did not fully understand the depth of that strength until her final days. Even then, she faced life’s final challenge with quiet courage and grace.
Jeanette is survived by her husband of 54 years, Stephen; children, Missy Feller and Rick Miller, both of Evansville; and grandchildren Braeden and Zeke Feller; brothers Carl of Vacaville, CA and Ted (Paula) of Evansville; sister Donna Adkison of Evansville; and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jeanette Specht, and her brother-in-law Lee Adkison.
A Celebration of Life in Jeanette’s honor will be held Friday, March 20 from 4-7PM at Fairlawn United Methodist Church in Evansville for close friends and family.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Evansville Rescue Mission.

I am so sorry for the family. I remember my mom Sam Hunter giving Jeanette a ride to work at Old National Bank. On the way to the bank mom would drop off my twin brother Joie and I at grade school. We will always love you Jeanette.
