Born in Evansville, Indiana to his mother Christine Buickel, father deceased. Jason attended Castle High School.
Jason loved riding his motorcycle, hunting, and visiting with friends. He was compassionate and had a very big heart. He was always willing to help his family and friends.
Jason had some trouble finding the right path in life. Ten years ago he found that path; he changed his life. He became a caretaker and caregiver to the Ruwersma family. He considered them family and took very good care of them. Jason passed due to complications of his diabetes.
Jason is survived by his son Ethan Evans, his mother Christine Buickel, his stepfather Dennis, grandparents Charles and Jackie Knight, brother Damon Evans, stepbrother Bret Buickel, nieces Emma and Isabella Evans, and nephew Nolan Buickel.
A very special thank you to Flo Ruwersma for all the care and love you showed Jason through his illness.
Jason, we will miss you and pray that you have peace.
There will be a memorial for his friends at the Ruwersma home at 6177 Laurel Ridge Drive, Newburgh, IN. 47630 on March 22, 2026 at 1:00 P.M.
