Evansville, IN – James “J.D.” Earl Doss, Sr., 68, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on March 21, 1952.
James was a man with a lot of character. He always refused a ride to get anywhere because he loved riding his bike, rain, sleet or snow. He enjoyed professional wrestling and claimed that any other wrestler that was victorious besides Jerry “The King” Lawler was a cheat. He attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana.
He is survived by his children; son, James Earl Doss, Jr. (Birdie), daughter, Jamicka Martin (Kordarius); daughter, Patricia Minor; brother, William Doss; and 11 grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice for James’ care.
