Gale L Dawson, age 66, of Fairfield, IL was called home to his savior on Thursday July 31, 2025. He passed away peacefully at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, IN.
Gale was born on February 21, 1959 to the late Donald and Ruth Dawson. He was preceded in death by his parents and oldest brother, Michael Dawson, whose traumatic loss at an early age profoundly impacted him. Gale had a soft-spot for dogs and children, especially his grandchildren whom he treasured.
Gale is survived by two children, Amanda Stopher and Caleb Dawson, both of Paducah, KY; a grandson, Jack Stopher of Paducah; bonus children by a spirit of adoption, Nick Robson, Haley Robson and Lucas Robson all of Fairfield; bonus grandchildren, Dylan, Kylee, Rylin, Myla, and Xylynn Robson; and one brother Bruce (Mary) Dawson.
There will be no formal services.
His ashes will be spread by his family at Cave-in-Rock in the Ohio River.
