Eleanor M. Savage, 74, passed away from lung cancer on May 22, 2022 in Newburgh, Indiana, where she had lived since 2008.
Eleanor was born in Chicago to Edward and Helen Zitek, she grew up on the southwest side of the city, and attended Academy of Our Lady High School. She moved from Chicago to Seattle, Washington, where she worked for many years at the Applied Physics Laboratory of the University of Washington.
Throughout her life, she loved her many pets, especially dogs, cats, and reptiles, and was always a voracious reader.
Her husband, Patrick Savage, predeceased her in 2018.
She is survived by her brother Bill Zitek of Seattle and Carol Lindholm of Florida.
Eleanor and her siblings greatly appreciate all the help and care shown by her Newburgh neighbors, particularly Debi Talarzyk, during this difficult time.
