On June 1, 2025 David Melton, passed away at his home in Vincennes, IN. He lived the last 25 years in Vincennes. David was born July, 22, 1966 in Moline, IL to Ramon Junior Melton and Susan Grace Melton(Fulscher). He was a devoted family man and friend to many.
David graduated from Moline High School in 1984. He worked the majority of his career as a Chef. He became Head Chef at Jumer’s in Bettendorf, IA. He never hesitated to use his skills of cooking at family gatherings. David also worked at Vincennes University and Vincennes School Corporation for many years.
He found joy in fishing. It didn’t matter where, the size of the fish, or how many. He just enjoyed being by the water. He had a huge variety of fishing poles and equipment that he took pride in.
As a man with a great sense of humor he never missed an opportunity to make a joke or to make light of any situation. David could take the most random things and make humor out of it.
He was preceded in death by his father Ramon Melton, mother Susan Hulting, and brother Ramon J Melton II.
He is survived by his siblings Karen Melton, Kristy (Bill) Melton, Rick (Megan) Melton and step-father Steve Hulting. As well as many friends, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt, and uncles.
If love was immortality then he would live forever, he had the biggest heart.
