David Lee Snellen, 47, of Reed, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on May 1, 2026. David was born and raised in Reed, Kentucky, to Tony and Beverly Snellen.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Betty Snellen, and Ralph and Bea Williams.
David is survived by his loving parents, Tony and Beverly Snellen; his children, Kyler Snellen, Katelyn Snellen, Destiney Cutshall, and Will Cutshall; and his cherished grandchildren, Saylor, Journey, Silas, Kylin, Rilie, Aubree, Cooper, Wilder, and Wyatt. He is also survived by his brothers, Joey (Laura) Snellen and Bradley Snellen.
David was known as a hard worker and a dedicated father who deeply loved his family. He attended Henderson County High School, where he participated in vocational classes that helped pave the way for his career. He worked as a Field Technician with Mitchell Drilling and Daughtery Drilling before later joining Gerald’s Home Maintenance.
In his free time, David found joy in the outdoors. He loved hiking, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed working on four-wheelers and racing his RC cars, hobbies that reflected his hands-on spirit and love for adventure.
David will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for his family, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.
A celebration of life is being planned for David at Sandy Lee Watkins Park in the next few weeks. We will send out an announcement once plans are in place.
