Carl Stephen “Steve” Caudill, 78, of Owensville, Indiana was born in Shawneetown, Illinois to Roy and Bentie Dewitt Caudill. He passed away on January 4, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.
Steve enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved drag racing where he met many friends and watching NHRA. Steve worked as a crane operator for many years. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was proud of his service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers James Caudill, Bud Caudill, Joe Caudill and Homer Wilson; and grandson Dakota Wheeler.
Steve is survived by his wife of 44 years, Tina (Wolfenbarger) Caudill; daughters Courtney Hale, Christie (Ron) Culver, Stephanie (Scott) Masters, and Kimberly (Mike Bantz) Pearish; grandchildren Chad and Gage Jones, Samantha and Sydney Jones, Brittaney Pearish and Emily Varnado, Kinley and Karson Hale; great-grandchildren Trace, Mia, and Zoey Varnado, Taylor and Katy Jones; sisters Norma Lance of Nebraska and Marilyn Tabis of Hartselle, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
