Beth Anne Chandley, 65, of Mackey, Indiana, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 12, 2025, in Winslow, Indiana. Born on January 15, 1960, in Evansville, Indiana, to Robert and Mary Bernadine (Warren) Chandley, Beth was a beloved mother, grandmother, partner, and friend whose love and strength touched everyone who knew her.
Beth is survived by her devoted partner of 31 years, Dean McGowan; her three daughters, Melissa Deffendall, Michelle Dillon (Joseph Dillon), and Makayla Arial; and her six cherished grandchildren: Tobias, Sophie, Zoie, Alessa, Alexis, and River—each of whom brought her endless joy and pride.
Beth was a woman of remarkable strength, resilience, and unwavering love. She worked tirelessly throughout her life, whether it was caring for her horses on the farm as a child, working as a diesel mechanic in the coal mines, or dedicating herself fully to raising her children. In addition to her many roles, Beth was a talented artist, expressing herself through her creativity and leaving behind beautiful works that reflected her deep passion and unique perspective on life.
She poured her heart into her family, and her greatest pride was in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Her love was boundless, her sacrifices immeasurable, and her presence irreplaceable. Beth’s warmth, wisdom, and laughter will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, strength, and artistic spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Though she is no longer physically with us, her spirit remains woven into the lives she so fiercely loved.
She will be forever missed and always remembered.
