
Alice Irene Hoyt, 90, a long-time resident of Port Orange, Florida, died on April 2nd, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital located in Vincennes, Indiana.
She was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, daughter of Rose Dubois and George Metivier. Alice was married to Edward Hoyt for 25 years, who preceded her in death. She has one sister Rosie Albano of Holly Hill, Florida. Alice worked for Belk Lindsay Department store for over 20 years. She was an avid bingo player; she was the first to arrive and the last to leave. On her last day with us, she spoke of her friends at Epiphany Manor. Alice said she was so blessed to have them in her life. She called them her second family.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jeffery and Pamela Fredrickson, George and Mary Fredrickson, Bill and Tonya Fredrickson, Michele and Stephen Drevlow; her grandchildren Cody, Tyler, Jeffery, Maureen, Malia, Joel, Jason and Philip Fredrickson, Christine Parker, Nicole and Stephen Drevlow and her Great-grandchild Hadley Learned.
She was predeceased by her daughters Phyliss Anderson and Kim Fredrickson and her son Philip Fredrickson, and her grandson George Fredrickson Jr.
The family would like to thank the wonderful, amazing staff at Good Samaritan Hospice. Also, we would like to thank the staff on the 3rd floor of Good Samaritan Hospital who made her last days most peaceful.

I worked with Alice for several years at the Ormond Beach Walmart. She will be remembered as a very lovely lady. She and I shared many cups of tea in the early hours at work. My deepest sympathy wishes to her family.?
