
Dana Michelle Stone Vazquez, 55, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away on September 17, 2026.
Dana was born on April 6, 1971, to Charles “Charlie” Darrell Stone and Betty J. Wilkerson. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose kind heart touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Dana was preceded in death by her father, Charles “Charlie” Darrell Stone, and Lola B. West.
She leaves behind her beloved children, Adrianna Vazquez and Xavier Vazquez, both of Henderson, Kentucky; her mother, Betty J. Wilkerson; her brother, Mark D. Stone of Henderson; and her sisters, Christie Wilson (Michael Wilson) of Sebree, Kentucky, Joanie Stone of Henderson, and Lisa Brady of Henderson. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Family meant everything to Dana. Some of her happiest moments were the simple ones spent together—sharing meals, laughing, talking, cooking, and making memories with the people she loved. She especially cherished being a mother and the time she spent with Adrianna and Xavier. Her family will remember her not only for the love she gave, but for the little moments that made being together special. Those memories will remain in their hearts and be treasured for years to come.
Dana loved to cook and enjoyed bringing people together
. She also loved watching her favorite movie, Dirty Dancing, and listening to Janis Joplin. One of her favorite songs was “She’s Like the Wind” by Patrick Swayze, which will forever hold a special place in the memories of those who loved her.
In her earlier years, Dana worked at Deaconess as a sterile processing technician (CRCST). Later in life, she devoted herself to caring for her mother, showing the same love and devotion that she had always given to her family.
Dana’s greatest legacy is the love she gave to the people around her. She had a kind heart and loved deeply. Whether she was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, or friend, she gave each relationship a piece of her heart. Her family will carry her love, her laughter, and the memories they made with her for the rest of their lives.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
