Daniel E. Bridges, 73, of Mount Vernon, Indiana passed away on July 16, 2026 at the Linda E. White Hospice House of Evansville, Indiana. He was born on June 29, 1953 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Roy and Anna Lou Bridges.
Danny was a retiree from the Whirlpool Corporation of Evansville. Danny loved fishing and hunting and was an avid arrowhead hunter. He also enjoyed going to the casino.
Danny was preceded in death by his father Roy Bridges, his mother Anna Lou Bridges, his brother James Bridges, and nephew Earl Matthews. Danny is survived by his sons Roy and Seth, sisters Karen Hazlett, Becky Moore, Cindy Osbourne and Julie Moleta, nieces Carrie Gresham, Amy Widner and Sabrina Redman, nephews Rick Denning and David Hazlett.
Per Danny’s wishes, no services will be held.

Danny was my bodyguard when growing up as kids in Mt. Vernon. Danny liked to fight and me, not so much. I was always small for my age and thus, a frequent target for bullies. I’m just glad Danny wasn’t one of them. He never looked for a fight but he never backed down either. Rest in peace brother.
