Robin (Willett) Setser

Robin (Willett) Setser, age 69, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 16, 1957, in Danville, Illinois, to Delores Dodson.

Robin grew up to be a woman of deep compassion who pursued her lifelong dream of helping others. In 1991, she proudly graduated from Vincennes University, achieving her goal of becoming a registered nurse. She spent nearly two decades dedicated to her patients before her well-earned retirement in 2010. When she wasn’t caring for others, Robin was happiest when she was hunting for the perfect find. She loved spending her weekends exploring local yard sales and thrift stores, always returning with a smile and a new story.

Robin was a woman whose greatest joy and purpose in life was her family. Known for her quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and caring heart, she had a unique ability to make others smile or laugh, even during difficult times. She was self-sacrificing by nature and consistently placed the needs and happiness of others above her own. Her love was unconditional, her support unwavering, and her presence a source of comfort to all who knew her.

Robin was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores (Warwick) Dodson; her husband, Bruce Setser; her sister, Dianna (Willett) O’Keefe; and Bill Willett.

Robin leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her children: Sasha Jones (Jeremy), Jessica Setser, Andrea Setser, Joshua Keith, and Zachary Setser (Abigail). Her grandkids include Peyton, Elijah, TheAnna, Jadan, Miguel, Bela, Madalin, Isaac, and Zowie. She is also survived by her siblings, Alesa Rosenfeld (Rachel) and Monty Willett (Susan), along with many extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, compassion, and generosity.

Robin’s legacy lives on through the values she instilled in her family, the laughter she shared with loved ones, and the countless sacrifices she made out of love. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held later this fall. Additional details will be shared by the family as they become available.
