A celebration of life for Victoria Sutton,81, formerly of Robinson, will be Saturday August 29, 2026, from noon until 6:00 pm at The American Legion Post 13, 900 Flag Park Drive, Richland Center Wi. 53581.
Vicky was born in Chicago, Il. to June Engel. Where she grew up with her siblings George, Mary Lou, Kathy, Jim and Joe. Vicky passed away June 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family who have felt nothing but a huge loss since she has gone.
She left behind her loving husband of 33 years, Jean Sutton, her children Tammy (Rich) Lewkowicz of Plainfield, Il, Toni (Eric) Rariden of Robinson Il, Tasha Wisniewski (Dave W.) of Newport Richie, Fl. and Todd Prouty of Wauconda, Il. Her 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She lived her life privately and only the people she loved and trusted were allowed to be part of it. She spent her life the way she wanted to. If you knew Vicky, you know it was her way or no way. Her no-nonsense state of mind is what made her who she was. She was strong, stubborn, and never outspoken, and a bit mysterious, but she was also soft-hearted, loving and so much fun if you were part of her life. She loved with grace and she showed that at her passing, sparing all her loved ones the secrets she carried. She didn’t want any of us worrying about her or being sad about her future. So, she kept those secrets to herself until the very end. She was the living definition of selfless.
As her children we will remember all the trips to Hayward to visit her, going to work with her in Reedsburg at Skinners, taking walks in Lavalle holding her hand, playing Mario brothers and watching her laugh because she fell off the ledge, getting our ears pierced a third time together, antiquing anywhere she could, the Smurf cups, the way she talked us into getting a camper, and all the trips to Riverside to use the camper. Getting to watching her grandchildren play softball and go to their school dances, trick or treating on her front porch, dinners at new places, the day she brought me flowers, the friendships she made with each of us even though we were too young to understand them. Those friendships meant everything when she left us. She was Our momma.
After Vicky and Jean moved to Robinson Il., she found a new life and began to enjoy her days in a new way. She enjoyed driving around taking all the beautiful photos she shared with the world. Her view of the world was breath taking. The photos she left behind were filled with nature, wildlife, and love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that she finally got to enjoy. She truly was happy in her new role.
Last Thanksgiving she sat and belly laughed until she cried at jokes being told at dinner, she smiled so big as she looked at every one of us at that supper. She was soaking in all the love at that table knowing it may be her last. We are so Thankful for the years we got with her in the later years.
In our hearts we know God was waiting with open arms to welcome her into her eternal home.
