Sherlyn “Sherry” J. Pratt, 63, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026. She will be lovingly remembered by her
devoted husband of 40 years, Darrell Pratt; her three sons, Christopher Pratt (Rachel), Cooper Pratt, and Connor Pratt; granddaughter, Kaitlin Pratt; mother, Mary Harville; brother, Darren Todd Harville (Susan); along with nieces and nephews and in-laws whom she
loved dearly.
Sherry was born on July 7, 1962, in Middletown, Ohio to Mary (Stubbs) Harville and the late Gary Harville. During her school years in
Springboro, Ohio she was a cheerleader, played drums in the marching band, and played piano. She was honored as salutatorian of
her senior class and served as senior class president. She attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she prepared for the calling that would define much of her life—teaching. Sherry was a dedicated special education teacher whose heart was especially devoted to helping students with special needs reach their fullest potential.
Sherry loved peace signs, sunflowers, and dance parties. She was usually the best dancer in the room and having the most fun. She also had a gift for connecting with others. She loved meeting people and talking with them. Many felt instantly comfortable sharing their life stories with her. She will be missed by everyone she touched.
A private memorial service will be held for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/give.html.

Mrs. Pratt was the best thing that could ever happen to my grandson at Castle North Middle School. She really made such a difference in his life. She truly cared and advocated for him and did everything she could to help him. He (and I) will never forget all she did for him. He is graduating in May from Castle H.S. and I know this would not have been possible without her. Praying for the Pratt family as I know what a tremendous loss this is. She was a true angel.
