
Evansville, IN – Betty Joy Hitch, 81, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at North Park Nursing Center in Evansville. She was born on December 2, 1944 in Newburgh, Indiana to the late Walter and Goldie (Wells) Bunch.
Betty met her husband, William at the Double R and were married to each other on July 19, 1963. She worked as a seamstress all of her life at Shane’s, Eddie’s and Anchor for over 20 years where she retired from. She enjoyed gambling and loved her grandkids as well as her great granddaughter, Amberlynn.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Hitch; her granddaughter, Amber; her parents, Walter and Goldie Bunch; her brothers, Ralph, Tony and John as well as her sisters, Shirley and Maggie.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Balinda Culp (Randy); her grandson, Randy Culp; her great granddaughter, Amberlynn Culp; her sisters, Mary Martha and Ruth as well as her brothers, Paul and David.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at North Park Nursing Home for “taking care of my momma” as well as to the staff at Gentiva Hospice Care.
