Jamie Patrice (Lindsey) Ile, 73, of Princeton, IN passed away on February 15, 2026, after a long illness. She was born on September 27, 1952, in Evansville, IN. She was a graduate of Boonville High School.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James T. Lindsey and Patricia Farmer, and a brother, Jack T. Lindsey, all of Tennyson, IN.
Jamie is survived by her life partner of 29 years, Larry Ile, also of Princeton, IN; son, Tim Dixon, and grandson, Kade Dixon, both of Evansville, IN; son, Chris Dixon (Amy), and grandchildren, Gage and Gavin Dixon and Isaac and Ian VanDeVanter, all of Orleans, IN; sister, Kris (Lindsey) Barnett (Ron), and nephews, Nick (Ruby), Adam (Kaitlin), Zack (Rachel), and Seth Barnett (Carli), all of Bloomington, IL; and beloved great-nieces and great-nephews, all of Bloomington, IL.
Her love of animals emerged at an early age and continued throughout her life. She brought comfort to countless animals through fostering and adopting animals and contributing to animal shelters. There wasn’t an animal she didn’t love. Her love of animals was only surpassed by her love for her family. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Jamie’s sense of humor delighted many and she could make people laugh. Everyone enjoyed spending time with her.
To honor Jamie’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. Instead, please take time to remember her, and all are welcome and encouraged to post condolences.
