Niall Slingsby Lockyear, 33 passed away February 2, 2026 at the Linda White Hospice House. Niall fought a gallant fight against cancer. He fought the disease with optimism while maintaining a stiff upper lip and nary a hint of self pity. The family is forever grateful to Niall’s aunt Lisa Euler for the care and help provided to Niall during cancer treatments. The family would like to express their gratitude to Jeremy Diehl DO and Todd Wannemuehler MD and the Deaconess Hospital team who performed emergency life saving surgery on Christmas Day.
Niall was a Reitz High School graduate who graduated in 2014 from Purdue University with a BS Degree in Industrial Engineering Technology. He was an industrial engineer in supply chain management and logistics since graduating from college.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas B. Lockyear and Karen S. Lockyear along with his grandmother Valerie Slingsby, all of Evansville in addition to a sister, Olivia J. Lockyear of Tamworth, Australia. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who are scattered about the country.
There will be no visitation and there will be a private family service at a future date. Should friends of the family wish to make a donation the American Cancer Society is always in need of funds for patient support programs.
Simple Cremation Evansville is entrusted with care.

I was lucky enough to know Niall while I was a student at Purdue. He and I were both TKE fraternity brothers. I have many good memories of Niall. We had quite a few enriching conversations. You will be missed, brother.
