Beloved father and grandfather, Robert M. Sweany died at home on January 28th in Freelandville, IN. Robert ‘Bob’ Sweany was born September 13, 1946, in North Vernon, IN to his parents Harvey and Ruby Sweany.
Bob married the love of his life Carolyn Whittington in 1968 and had two children, Robert ‘Bobby’ Sweany of Sandborn, IN and Shannon Sweany (Grow) of Vincennes, IN.
He adored his grandchildren, Tiffany Sweany of Indianapolis, Ryan Donohoo, of Vincennes, Todd Risley of Elkhart, Bethany Ice, of St. Louis and Makayla Grow, of Vincennes. And his great granddaughter Audi of Bicknell.
Bob worked his whole life in construction and was very talented in building homes and remodeling. He was also an electrician. He enjoyed drawing, writing, fishing, flea markets and telling long stories about the past.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
