She will not be having a service but a celebration of life will be in the near future. Also, in lieu of flowers, please donate to Vanderburgh Humane Society or Wounded Warriors.
Ardra Hartz says
Karen was my friend for 49 years. When our children were young, we talked often. We both volunteered at our church: she planting flowers in the church lawn and I changing the message board weekly. Karen loved her children deeply, even though she was a very young mother, and keeping up with four of them was a challenge. She learned to love herself, to make needed changes, to work/support herself, and ultimately to choose love with Nicolas. She demonstrated remarkable generosity no matter what her income was. She attained wisdom and then shared it with all who would receive it. She never stopped praying; she received joy and blessings with humility. She is the only southern Indiana friend who stayed in touch with me when I moved away. Karen is my forever friend. May she rest, finally, in complete peace.
Jamie says
Thank you Ardra for the kind words. She was truly blessed by having you in her life!
