Evansville, IN – Robert M. Mehling, 70, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at his home. He was born on April 8, 1955, in Evansville to the late Leo and Betty (Schnautz) Mehling.
He, along with his sister Rebecca, owned and operated M & M Auto Service which was founded by his late father and uncle in 1948 and passed down to the next generation his niece and nephew Dianna and Daniel Hassebrock. He enjoyed WWII history, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his sisters Lisa Pfettscher and Linda Hunt, stepson Charles Peters (Nikki), two grandchildren Katerina Peters and Kilian Peters, several nieces and nephews and his downtown family.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, wife Cheryl (Peters) Mehling, wife Shelly (Herbert) Mehling, stepdaughter Kathryn (Peters) Riley, sister Rebecca (Mehling) Cook and brother Donald Mehling.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
