Mary Catherine “Cat” Brown, 86, left this earth on February 15, 2019 with loved ones by her side.
She was born March 12, 1932 in Boonville, KY in the mountains of Owsley County, to the Late Rev. William L. Blake and Mrs. Annie (Tucker) Blake.
Cat lived the last few years of her life in Indiana to be with her surviving sister and best friend Anna Grisham.
She is also survived by her four children, Kathy Mueller of Florida, Nancy Roberts, Becky Brown, Les Brown of Missouri; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Cat was a homemaker, seamstress and worked at the Lake City Ammunition Plant during the Vietnam War, as well as a caretaker of others. One of her favorite hobbies was crocheting and she loved her large family. She was also a member of Glory Road Baptist church Evansville, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, William I. Brown; three brothers, Billy, Thomas, and Harold Blake; and two sisters Helen Herrington and Wilma Bryant.
The celebration of her life will be at Glory Road Baptist Church 2229 W. Indiana Street, Evansville, IN 47712 on Saturday, February 23rd at 1 P.M. with Rev. Delbert Bryant conducting the service for those wishing to attend.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Glory Road Baptist Church in the name of Mary C. Brown.
